Here is the film I had the honour to document of the home water birth of Oliver. It is best watched in HD, press play and select via the little cog option. Thank you to Heidi & John for wanting to share this intimate experience to encourage other parents.
In a quiet street in the suburbs a little boy was welcomed into the peacefulness of his parents arms in the privacy of their lounge room. Surrounded by family and his midwives. Born in his caul into water, Oliver Byron, 8lbs.
I love birth videos. I would literally watch these everyday if you posted them. Just beautiful.
This is a tearjerker, so beautiful! I hope you just happen to plan a trip to Alaska next time I give birth so that you can film and photograph it, ha! I haven’t seen anyone here that films and edits the way you do. I so wish someone had been there to film Riggy’s birth – I hate forgetting all those little looks and whispers.
So so beautiful, I have tears pouring down my face.

Beautiful. So, so very beautiful. It all looked so peaceful and calm, a perfect way to make an entrance into this world. I love that you captured so many little details (the birth affirmation bunting on the wall, the support team topping up the pool with hot water) and of coarse the big moments. It is such an honour to get a glimpse into the private space that is a homebirth. Thank you to this amazing Mama plus you for sharig this with us.
I watched this with my 2.5 year old daughter. At the end I asked her “what did you think of that?”
H: “I liked it”
What did you like about it?
H: “Everything”. <3.
This is absolutely beautiful. I had a few tears. :-)
LOVE! Amazing mama. The little girl at the end stole my heart!! What precious memories for that family :)
Just Perfect. <3
Thank you for sharing this with us xx
I’m sitting here bawling. I’m so pregnant and so excited to be having my first waterbirth in about 8 weeks (give or take a few). I’m only allowing myself to watch positive birthing experience this time — I love that whatever goes up here is so ‘delightful’! Well, done Heidi & Oliver! Well done Georgia!
oh wow. WOW. What an amazing mama and support team and family and birth. oh WOW.
Such a beautiful moment and a beautiful video… I’m crying! I wish you lived in Vancouver Canada so you could film the birth of my next baby!
Just beautiful. Brought back so many memories. My baby girl Millicent was also born at home in our lounge room (no time to get into the pool nor the video camera sadly) exactly 1 month before little Oliver. What an amazing memory you captured. x
Every time I’m about to watch a video of yours, Georgia, I think, ‘Nope, not going to cry this time’. But you always prove me wrong. In the best way. :) The way you capture families is on my list of ‘pros’ for moving to northward. ;)
So beautiful. Brings back memories…my little Milly was born in our lounge room exactly one month before little Oliver (although no time to get into the pool or video). What an amazing memory you have captured x
Every birth video I watch makes me cry. This one is no exception. What a lovely gift for your friend, to have you document the birth of her son. Many happy wishes for the growing family.
I cry with happiness every time I see one of these videos! So much love and the editing you do does such wonders for the continuity of the story! Thank you for sharing!
ohmygoodness that was so so beautiful
i’m not sure when i will ever have children, but when i do; i want you to be there to document my delight <3
HD was worth it. Gorgeous. So incredible to see the build up, all absolutely worthwhile for those first few moments with him.
Oh wow – tears streaming down my face. Just so moving, the look on mama’s face – what a great achievement. And the way Oliver nuzzles into her – so little yet so knowing. Gorgeous work Georgia!
So beautiful! Brings back special memories of my own home water births. :-)
Oh Georgia. So many familiar homebirthing moments. I’m sobbing my eyes out. You are so very good at what you do! And this mama is so strong and lovely.

So beautiful. Thank you to this mumma for sharing this most intimate and special moment.
Truly beautiful. xo
That was lovely and so beautifully done. I especially loved how alert he was, Mama’s joyful smiles, and big sister’s tender touch. Thank you for sharing your special moment.

THANK YOU!!!
Wonderful! just plain wonderful! You captured it all. I am celebrating with this family xoxo
This video is amazing! So beautiful! I was wondering if you could share the name and artist of this song? I had my own home water birth almost 3 weeks ago and my birth photographer has asked me to find a song for a photo montage and I LOVE this song, it would be perfect!
